The summer season kicks off with Memorial Day celebrations. Kennebunk Main Street welcomes a parade in the afternoon. President George H.W. Bush and Mrs. Bush are often on hand to take part in the Kennebunkport Memorial Day Parade festivities. The Kennebunkport parade begins near Dock Square and proceeds to Lower Village and back before moving to Cape Porpoise.
In June the Kennebunkport Festival celebrates in a grand way with top chefs, fine wine, acclaimed artists and beautiful homes. Be sure to check out this week-long event that highlights the best food, wine and art that Maine has to offer!
There is no better place to be than New England in the fall with the stunning red, orange and yellow foliage. In addition to enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, fall is a great time to check out the many antique shops, local fairs and farmers markets.
October brings a number of wonderful small town events, including HarvestFest in downtown Kennebunk and Trick or Treat in the Kennebunks,a wonderful time for the children to dress up and haunt the stores and shops displaying friendly pumpkin cut-outs!

December brings many reasons to celebrate Christmas Prelude™, which earned Kennebunkport the honor of being named the #2 Christmas Town in America by HGTV. This spirited 10-day holiday celebration includes caroling, holiday shopping, sleigh rides, concerts and winter fun. Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Cape Porpoise and Arundel all host tree lightings during the holiday season!
Winterfest takes place in February. Visit Main Street in Kennebunk for activities including a craft fair, ice skating, music, and soup tasting!
With flowers blooming and temperatures warming up, spring is a beautiful time to visit the area. Farmers markets are offering the season’s freshest produce and treats, while garden centers are filled to the brim with plants and flowers. Take part in Maine Maple Sunday at the end of March when maple syrup farms across the state demonstrate first-hand how sap is turned into syrup. Stroll wide sandy beaches with spectacular views of the deep blue Atlantic, explore our rugged coastline, with its intricate network of tidal pools and visit the overlook at Walker's Point, the summer home of President George H.W. Bush and Mrs. Bush.
In early May, Kennebunk hosts its annual May Day Celebration complete with family-oriented activities, a parade, a craft show and may pole dancing.
